EDUCACIÓN Y RETOS SOCIALES DE LOS AVANCES DE LA CIENCIA
Abstract
Al siglo XX se le ha denominado “El siglo de la ciencia” porque nunca antes en la historia se había dado un avance intelectual tan extraordinario y creativo como el que hemos atestiguado durante los últimos 100 años. Son varias las revoluciones científicas que caracterizaron al siglo pasado y cada una de ellas tuvo efectos extraordinarios en la vida de nuestros padres y de nosotros mismos. Cuando utilizamos el término “revolucionario” no sólo nos referimos al cambio radical que las nuevas ideas produjeron en el ambiente científico. Hablamos de auténticas revoluciones en el sentido de que también causaron profundas transformaciones estructurales en las relaciones sociales, culturales y económicas en todos los países.
