Representaciones sociales que del aprendizaje de las matemáticas tienen estudiantes de nivel medio superior

En este trabajo identificamos, a través de la propuesta teórico-metodológica de las representaciones sociales, percepciones, ideas e imágenes que, sobre el aprendizaje de las matemáticas, comparten estudiantes de nivel medio superior del área de ciencias sociales y administrativas del Instituto Politécnico Nacional. Para el acopio de la información, utilizamos dos tipos de instrumentos con un colectivo de 60 estudiantes de sexto semestre: un cuestionario con preguntas abiertas y entrevistas grupales. Observamos, entre otros resultados, el alto grado de las valoraciones negativas del aprendizaje de las matemáticas, la consideración de su aprendizaje como elemental para la vida cotidiana y laboral, y el papel relevante que se le confiere al profesor como medio para el logro del aprendizaje.
