La formación de físicos en México
Abstract
Los orígenes de la enseñanza de la física en México pueden situarse en 1792 con la fundación del Real Seminario de Minas. En esa institución se impartió el primer curso de Hidrodinámica a cargo del minero español Francisco Bataller, quien también escribió el primer libro de texto impreso en México para la enseñanza de la Física. En el año de 1833 el Real Seminario de Minas cambió de nombre a Escuela de Estudios Mayores en Física y Matemáticas. Benito Juárez le volvió a cambiar el nombre en 1867 a Escuela de Ingeniería, que se integró a la Universidad Nacional de México en 1910.
