Juegos electrónicos y aprendizaje: el desafío de la “cultura digital”
Abstract
La interacción de los niños y jóvenes con diversos sistemas computacionales, que incluyen los aparatos portátiles, las consolas de video, las computadoras y, por supuesto, la Internet, en contextos no escolarizados como la casa, los cibercafés, los espacios de reunión social y la misma escuela en horas fuera de clase, abarca el desarrollo de operaciones y procesos cognoscitivos, así como un conjunto de procesos de aprendizaje que han sido poco estudiados en términos de los elementos que aportan al proceso amplio de construcción de conocimiento del que la escuela forma parte y del que los estudiosos de la educación buscan tener un panorama más preciso, que responda a los retos a los que se enfrenta en la actualidad el sistema formal educativo.
