La World Wide Web o WWW es una vasta fuente de recursos didácticos para el profesional de la educación. En ella se pueden encontrar sitios enfocados a procesos educativos desde perspectivas muy diversas: unidireccionales, participativas, construccionistas, etcétera. Sin embargo, además de aquellos identificados propiamente como “edu- cativos”, es de importancia estratégica reconocer que cada sitio web puede ser utilizado como detonante de distintos procesos de aprendizaje. La prin- cipal labor del profesional de la educación es dise- ñar, con base en el conocimiento de los intereses y las necesidades de sus aprendices, las dinámicas de aprovechamiento de los recursos en línea a su disposición. Por ejemplo, se puede consultar un sitio web sobre “casas de cambio” y usarlo para aprender los conceptos y procedimientos mate- máticos de conversiones y regla de tres.
