En un pequeño ejido ubicado en las desérticas tierras de Parras, Coahuila, en un contexto de extrema pobreza, surge la idea de organizar entre la comunidad pequeños grupos de ahorro como una alternativa de mejora económica para los ejidatarios, hombres y mujeres, en un espacio donde al mismo tiempo se valoran la honradez, la participación, la inclusión, la palabra. Así, en esta búsqueda de formas de trabajo comunitario autogestivo, es como surgen los Pequeños Grupos de Ahorro con Lotería (Pegales).
