Abstract
Las trece colonias se niegan a seguir tributando obediencia y dinero al rey de una isla tan lejana. Alzan bandera propia, deciden llamarse Estados Unidos de América, reniegan del té y proclaman que el ron, producto nacional, es bebida patriótica. Todos los hombres nacen iguales, dice la declaración de independencia. Los esclavos, medio millón de esclavos negros, ni se enteran.
