Abstract
Creo que pocos encontrarían exagerada la afir- mación de que, en México, el derecho a impartir enseñanza ocupa un lugar destacado entre las causas que se han invocado para justificar, por una parte, la creación de leyes para hacerlo respetar y, por la otra, el desacato a las mismas por idéntica razón. Tampoco habría muchos que contradijeran el hecho de que en tales conflictos, los protagonistas más frecuentes y visibles han sido la Iglesia católica y el Estado, cuyos divergentes puntos de vista al respecto los ha llevado a esgrimir argumentos que tienden a desautorizarse mutuamente y a atraerse el mayor número de simpatizantes que los respalden.
