Abstract

En esta nueva entrega, Lourdes Alvarado emprende con su habitual acuciosidad, el estudio de la enseñanza para mujeres más allá del nivel elemental. La llamada educación “superior”, que se abrió como un nuevo horizonte a las mujeres de la ciudad de México durante el siglo XIX, no había sido objeto de atención de manera sistemática, aunque ciertamente se encuentran menciones aisladas al tratar otros niveles de enseñanza.
